350MB File on a Gb network - no jumbo frames just straight vanilla config.
From vista to NAS- 60 seconds 6MB/s
NASto vista - 35 seconds 10MB/s
Tried IPerf to make sure the network was OK.
Vista as server 'iperf -s' and NAS as client - 8MB/s
NAS as server - 19MB/s
Time to hit google .. or install Windows 7
